Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. This is used solely to identify your account and manage your subscription.

Sensor data

The app reads your device's accelerometer to calculate the phone's tilt angle. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Posture session data

The app stores posture session summaries (duration, average angle, posture score) locally on your device. This data is not transmitted off the device.

Subscription information

Subscription status is managed through Google Play and RevenueCat. We receive information about whether you have an active subscription but do not store payment details.

How we use your information

• Account info — to identify you and manage your subscription.
• Sensor data — to calculate tilt angle and adjust screen brightness (on-device only).
• Session data — to show posture statistics in the dashboard (stored locally only).
• Subscription status — to determine access to app features.

Data sharing

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties.
• Share personal information for advertising purposes.
• Track your location.
• Collect browsing history.

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — for sign-in.
• RevenueCat — for subscription management.
• Google Play Billing — for payment processing.

Children's privacy

Tech Neck is a parental tool set up by parents on their child's device. The parent's Google account is used for sign-in and billing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require the child to create an account or provide any personal information.

Data storage and security

• Account data is managed by Firebase (Google Cloud).
• Posture session data is stored locally on the device only.
• PIN codes are stored in encrypted device storage.
• Sensor data is processed in real time and not persisted.

Your rights

You can:

• Delete your account data by signing out and uninstalling the app.
• Clear posture history from the Settings screen.
• Cancel your subscription anytime from Google Play.
